Imagine unpacking this drawing into expository prose! -- You
would have to imagine a story in which it made sense, then tell
each part of it.
- Perhaps it is the story of a man whose parents criticised
him so much their warring voices paralyze every move he tries
to make.
- Perhaps it is the story of someone ostracized by the community
for being different, or chosen to be the target of a community
looking for a way to avoid its own conflicts.
- Perhaps it is the story of a self-made victim who not only
never came to terms with his own conflicting impulses, but who
nurtured that conflict until it defined him.
- Perhaps it is the story of a victim being blamed by the victimizers.
